Male dogs get prostate disease too, so November is now also National Canine Prostate Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to highlight the prevalence of prostate disease in older, in-tact male dogs..

More than 80% of in-tact male dogs over the age of five suffer from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BHP, the most common prostate disorder in dogs). BPH  can be permanently prevented by neutering due to the reduction in testosterone production.

An interesting fact about it all is Cancer research for pets can benefit human cancer research as well, as cancer in animals is similar regardless of species. In fact, most of the knowledge and treatments in animal oncology come from the fields of human oncology!  Click Here for more detailed info on all of this.

How can you help and rock your stache at the same time? Here’s the skinny…

Come to Cowbells on Thursday, November 2nd between 5:00 and 9:00pm to pay your $10.00 entry fee and get Shaved In. All contestants will start with a clean shave.

You will have all month to grow, groom and prep your phenomenal mustache.

Return to cowbells on Thursday, November 30th between 5:00 and 9:00pm to parade your hard working stache to the masses. Winners will be picked by who’s stache get the most like on facebook. So rally your crew. First place will win free cover to Cowbells. FOR LIFE!!!

All proceeds will go to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society to aid in the neutering of male dogs and prevent them from getting BPH.

Don’t worry ladies we didn’t forget about you either. On the night of Thursday, November 30th,  while the boys are parading their Mustache Masterpieces we will hold a “Make-Up Mustache Contest” just for y’all. More info on this coming soon.
